"God's Grace Is Sufficient For My Nakedness" - Maheeda

Maheeda, whose real name is Caroline Sam, says her going naked as a born again christian would never make God love her less. She says His Grace is sufficient for her. Currently promoting her music, Maheeda in an interview with Encomium said she doesn't have any problems exposing herself
"I dont have a problem doing what I do but I think its because of my job and I know most Christians would not understand. But I just believe that this is what I have to do to get attention especially when it comes to my job and I just believe His grace is enough for me. He loves me more than my nakedness. If you see God as a father and he sees you as a daughter, He would not because of your nakedness want to ruin you or kill you. That is how I see God. He understands me. He hates me but he loves me at the same time".
Asked what happened to her once-upon-a-time gospel artiste status, the raunchy artiste replied
"I think what happened was just spiritual maturity. At a stage in your life, you have to take a break and grow up or else everything would just be wrong. I needed to grow spiritually. Christians call it Born-again. I am standing in the gap for Christians and Muslims".
Maheeda said she has always loved music but was thirsty for stardom since childhood. She said she hasn't been reaping the fruits from her musical album but has been getting contracts for guest appearances. She claims she was recently abroad to attend the birthday party of a bigshot and was paid 3000 dollars just for coming and not singing.

Tribute By Komla Dumor’s Wife, Kwansema

Eighteen years ago, I met a remarkable young man who was intelligent, knowledgeable, confident, eloquent and charming. His name was Komla Dumor. He became the love of my life and one of the best gifts God gave me. It was the Lord who brought us together and He preserved our union till the end.

I met Komla when we were both students at the University of Ghana, Legon. The first time I interacted with him was at a Sociology group discussion and Komla absolutely blew me away with his knowledge and eloquence. I sat and listened to him in awe. In the end, I felt so intimidated that I decided not to participate in any study group he was involved in.

And yet over time, Komla drew me in and gradually won me over. He wooed me with his baritone, velvety voice; he mesmerized me with his cool gait and air of supreme confidence; he continually made me shake with laughter with his great sense of humour and wit. But above all, Komla won me over with his intellect and his dream to pursue an extraordinary life. With his words he painted for me a vision of the future that sounded so glorious, so exciting and fulfilling that I yielded and eventually vowed to him, ’till death do us part.’ We began dating before he embarked on his brilliant career as a journalist, but even then I knew Komla was special and would attain great heights.

Some of my friends at the time asked, “Kwansema, what do you see in this student boyfriend of yours that you chose him over others who appear to have already made it”? And I would say, “Besides the fact that I’m in love with him, Komla is deep. He has something the others don’t have. I believe Komla has the potential to do great things.” And wow, did he deliver, even beyond my wildest dreams!

Just a few months ago I said to him, “Dear, do you know what is even better than lying in the arms of a man you love who is your husband?” He asked, “What?” I replied, “When that man is Komla Dumor.” Oh, I knew what I had! I knew I had a husband who had chalked such immense success that people the world over admired him. I also knew that I was in a position many women coveted. It was a privilege to be a part of his life. The children and I were so proud of his many accomplishments and we basked in the global recognition he received.

Indeed, Komla was a good and loving husband and companion to me and a wonderful father to our children, Elinam, Elorm and Araba. In his unselfish way, he encouraged and supported me to pursue graduate study at Harvard as he had done. As he was so much in the limelight, I remained less visible in order to preserve some privacy and normalcy for the family. He was such a great presence in our lives and my heart aches for my loss and for my children, who have lost a fantastic and devoted father.

Saturday, January 18th 2014 started like a normal Saturday for us. A day the children and I could shut the world out and have Komla to ourselves. A day when he was simply Daddy and my husband. But now that day marks the beginning of a painful and aching void that we still cannot come to terms with. How can Komla be gone? How can he be forever silent? How can he not come walking through the door of our home in the evenings when the kids and I would trip over ourselves to be the first to hug him? How? And yet that morning when I woke up, my prayer was this: “I will trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He will direct my paths. Lord, I commit my husband and my children into Your hands this day.”

So now I lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let my foot slip, He who watches over me will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is my shade at my right hand; the sun will not smite me by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep my children and I from harm, the Lord will watch over our lives and our coming and going, both now and forevermore.

Komla, I will miss your voice. I will miss that well of wisdom and knowledge that the children and I continually drew on. I will miss our family trips and the jokes and stories you told as we went, in a manner that only you could. We will miss the special family times on Sundays when you made Daddy’s special stir fry and insisted we all sit down at table and use our best dinner plates. It will never never be the same without you. I will carry with me forever precious and many lovely memories of our journey together, through Harvard at Peabody Terrace, to Ghana and then to the United Kingdom.

Thank you for all you did to make the world a better place for us. We love you and miss you terribly. My only consolation now is that you are with the Lord. Till we meet again, Komla, my love, rest in perfect peace.

Your wife, Kwan

Gunners Can Pass Bayern Test - Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal have no reason to fear Bayern Munich as they prepare to face the UEFA Champions League holders in the last 16 first leg on Wednesday.

Just 12 months after they crashed out of Europe's elite club competition at the hands of the German giants, Wenger's team have an opportunity for revenge after being drawn to face Bayern at the same stage.

Arsenal were outclassed in the first leg last season as Bayern, who were then managed by Jupp Heynckes, cruised to a 3-1 victory in north London.

But the Gunners responded with a shock 2-0 win in the return game and came close to completing a stunning fightback before bowing out on away goals.

Winning in Munich proved a major boost for Wenger's side, who had lost their way at that time but finished the season strongly and have maintained their impressive form for much of the current campaign.

Yet Bayern, now coached by former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, are arguably an even more formidable force this season than they were last year, when they won the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup.

The Bavarians will swagger into the Emirates Stadium on a 46-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga.

They lead the German top-flight by 16 points, allowing them to focus fully on retaining the Champions League crown they won against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley last year.

Optimistic Arsenal
But Wenger remains optimistic and the Gunners manager is confident the experience of last season's encounters will stand his players in good stead as they seek to end Bayern's reign as holders.

"I think we know them better, individually the players," he said. "We will be in a better condition hopefully, because last year was after the disappointment of losing against Blackburn in the FA Cup, to play Bayern three days later it was very difficult for us.

"I think in the league as well we were in a much more difficult position. Now we are mentally better prepared to go into a game of that stature."

While Bayern have swept aside all challengers under Heynckes and now Guardiola, Arsenal's trophy drought has stretched into a ninth year.

Still, the Gunners' French midfielder Mathieu Flamini sees no reason for his team-mates to go into the tie with an inferiority complex.

Citing Sunday's gritty 2-1 FA Cup fifth round win over Liverpool as proof of Arsenal's improved spirit and mental strength, Flamini said: "What I will say about this season is that I see a great commitment, I see everyone working very hard on the pitch and helping each other.

"We know it won't be an easy game because Bayern are a very strong team, but we are Arsenal, we have big ambitions. We will do everything to qualify for the next round in the Champions League."

Arsenal will be without suspended Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta, but Bayern have more significant absentees.

Bayern absentees
France winger Franck Ribery is sidelined after buttock surgery, while Swiss forward Xherdan Shaqiri suffered a thigh injury after scoring twice in Saturday's 4-0 win over Freiburg.

Even those injuries are unlikely to perturb Guardiola, whose side are respectful of the dangers posed by Arsenal without being intimidated by the Premier League team.

"We're not going there for a 0-0 draw, we want to win in London, of course," Bayern captain Philipp Lahm said. "It won't be easy, they have put some confidence back in the tank after the Liverpool result."

Centre-back Jerome Boateng believes Arsenal are "stronger" than last season and he claimed Mesut Ozil has added an extra menace to their attacking play, even though the Germany international has endured an up and down first season in English football.

"Mesut Ozil is their key player and we have to be wide awake," Boateng said. "We have to prove on the pitch that we are better. We don't want to go into the return match chasing a result."

NEWS: Tiwa Arrested For Assaulting A Police Officer

On Saturday February 15, 2014, it was gathered that Mavin's first lady and MTN brand Ambassador Tiwa Savage got arrested for violating the Lagos Traffic Laws around the Eko Hotels and Suites and subsequently removing the beret of the Policeman.

A Police officer who spoke to Punch newspaper confirmed the arrest. He said:
“Tiwa Savage refused to stop at a traffic light around Adetokunbo Ademola Street near Eko Hotel and Suites. When we attempted to accost her, she refused to park her car as instructed by the policemen.
“Since there was a traffic snarl at the time, a policeman followed her car and insisted that she must stop. After a while, she stopped and started raining abuses on all of us so, we took her to the station.
“On getting to the station, a senior officer advised her to apologise because she was wrong and there were even eyewitnesses at the scene who could testify against her if the matter was taken to court. She apologised and was released immediately.”

SPORTS: Mata Needs Time - Rooney

Wayne Rooney has said that it will take time before Manchester United fans see the best of club-record signing Juan Mata.

Excitement among supporters was high when Mata stepped out of a helicopter and signed for United in a £37.1million transfer from Chelsea in January. The Spaniard had an instant impact at Stamford Bridge, but he has made a steady rather than stunning start to life at Old Trafford.

Mata has only tasted victory once since his move to the north-west, but he has set Robin van Persie up twice in the three matches he has played. Rooney is convinced United have signed a true star in Mata, though, and he is looking forward to the prospect of playing alongside the Spaniard and Van Persie on a regular basis.

"It's exciting," Rooney said. "Juan has come in and it's another world-class player to have in the squad. It'll take time - it can always take a little bit of time for every player to gel and to bond but we really hope we can all start scoring goals and help the team be successful."

A 0-0 draw at Arsenal on Wednesday put a further dent in United's UEFA Champions League prospects. Moyes' men sit 11 points behind fourth-place Liverpool but one advantage they have over their rivals is that they now have an eight-day wait until their next game against Crystal Palace.

"We've got a lot of massive games in the Champions League and the league. We're all looking forward to them". - Wayne Rooney

Moyes has decided to take his squad to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp during that time and Rooney feels the trip will be a big help ahead of a crucial run-in for the reigning champions.

"It's nice to spend time together," the striker said. "When you're at home you go to training then you go home and see your families, but with trips like this you're training then spending time with the lads. It's good for us all to be together.

"It's a different environment for us and hopefully we can get some good training sessions in so we come back ready for the Palace game and the start of the Champions League. We've got a lot of massive games in the Champions League and the league. We're all looking forward to them."

Had Van Persie been more clinical, United would have headed to Dubai on the back of a win, but Wojciech Szczesny's brilliant second half save meant both teams took home a point. Although the draw meant United lost ground in the hunt for the top four, Rooney hopes the result at the Emirates will give Moyes's men some momentum in the coming weeks.

"Coming to Arsenal any time and getting a point is always a good result," Rooney said. "You have to take confidence from it. We've been stop-start for most of the season, but we hope we can build on this. We have a bit of a break before our next game now and hopefully we can prepare well and kick on for the big matches coming up."

What Does Donjazzy And Timbaland Have In Common?

Don Jazzy and Timbaland are unarguably two enigmas when it comes to music and business. They've entertained us with their baritone voices and most of the time they remain at the back stage while others take their shine.
So I ask....what makes them unique? What do you think they have in common?
