Louis Van Gaal 'Worries Over Manchester United Transfer Plans'

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly concerned that the club's summer transfer plans have stalled before the Dutchman has even arrived at Old Trafford.

The People claims that the Netherlands manager, who oversaw a thumping 5-1 win against World champions Spain on Friday, has already provided executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward with a new list of targets.

However, the 62-year-old is said to be concerned that United have failed to move for key players before the World Cup, with Premier League rivals such as Chelsea and Manchester City already doing business.

Among the rumoured new targets are Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels and Bastian Schweinsteiger of Bayern Munich.

Should Woodward fail to recruit the kind of player that United require, the club may opt for a director of football in the future.
