Nigeria has again suffered another blow following the death of veteran Nigerian coach, Willy Bazuaye, who passed away today Monday 16th, March 2015 at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital in Benin City.
It was reported that Bazuaye, who won the World Cup with the Golden Eaglets in China in 1985, was suffering from stroke.
Bazuaye was part of the backroom staff as an assistant coach when the Nigeria under-23 team made history at the Atlanta Olympic Games, emerging the first African country to win the gold medal in the football event.
His last major public appearance was on the celebrity segment of the “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” television show two years ago.
